What was the highlight of AnCasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown
AnCasa's comfortable beds and closeness to the night street market & a trainstation was a winner!
I recently stayed at the Ancasa Hotel in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur, for five nights (Dec 2024- Jan 2025) Overall, my experience was sufficiently great, though there were a few areas for improvement as I observed. The room was clean and comfortable, but it was noticeably smaller than what was depicted in the images on Booking.com and Google Maps. Housekeeping was consistent, except on the third day when I had to call three times to get the room cleaned. The WiFi service was reliable for the most part, but I did experience occasional drops in reception in certain areas of the hotel. Additionally, when using multiple devices (a laptop and two smartphones in my case), there was some lag when streaming videos or watching YouTube. The staff were polite and attentive, addressing all my requests promptly. When moving it was observed that the lifts and lift lobby could get quite crowded and busy, especially during peak times. It required some patience or careful timing to avoid long waits. A standout feature for me was the bed—both the mattress and pillows were soft and provided a comfortable night’s rest without any neck or shoulder pain in the morning. Additionally, the hotel’s location is excellent, being close to the vibrant night street markets and the Plaza Rakyat train station. Despite a few inconveniences, I would stay here again for its convenience and comfort.
While my overall stay-experience was significantly great, there were a few minor inconveniences. The bathroom lacked smaller towels for washing your face or hands, and there was no floor towel to prevent water splashes from the shower, which left the floor wet and slippery during shower time. Additionally, the walls were not entirely soundproof, so if you have sensitive hearing or are easily disturbed by external sounds, you might find it challenging to fall asleep. These small issues aside, the hotel offers a decent stay for its location and amenities.

What was the highlight of AnCasa Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Chinatown
Well positioned hotel at a good price.
Location is spot on, next to Chinatown. The street food restaurants are just around the corner. Also the market is right there and in the evening more stalls appear. You are also only 700 meters from the old historic town, which makes easy to explore. When we left the hotel for the airport, we left our passports and money in the safe. We called them and when we returned 45mins later they had collected the passports and money and had it ready so we could make it back to the airport in time.
The lighting in the bathroom was very poor, not helping applying make-up and shaving. Western style breakfast was very limited,

The Amenities around very Superb to move and walk around for shopping and eateries...
Water heater was very, very BAD.... I've Booked 3 rooms and all 3 rooms had this issues... It took us long, longer time to even have a quick shower... Either the water was very Cold or very super Hot... The Technician came and check but it was useless, still the same, No Changes... This had happened many times during our stay there past few visits... Nothing had changed past 2 yrs, My God!!!
